Did you know Milk is one of the most requested but least donated items because it is perishable??? I’ve partnered with The Great American Milk Drive to raise awareness about this crucial need to help hungry families.

Stats on Hunger and the Need for Milk
- More than 46 million Americans – including 1 in 12 million children – rely on Feeding America food banks and pantries.
- Milk is one of the most requested yet least donated items year round because it is perishable
- On average, food bank clients receive the equivalent of less than one gallon of milk per person per year!!!! This leaves many families with very limited access to the essential nutrients found in milk, like protein, calcium, Vitamin D and potassium.
Our Visit to the Good Samaritan Feeding America Food Pantry in Paoli
We were beyond impressed with our visit to the local Feeding America food pantry in our own town. Our visit was a very special eye-opening night learning more about hunger relief and we were wowed at the difference Feeding America makes in our own town as once weekly families in need can visit this local pantry to stock up on nutritious essentials – from fresh fruits, veggies, breads, pantry items and more – including nutrient rich milk.
If you are like us, you probably support canned food drives or make monetary donations during the year for various causes, and this was a way for Kenzie and Kyle to see that donations from people like us do indeed touch so many lives in our own town.
