Walking the SNOW Carpet at the Disney FROZEN Premiere at El Capitan Theater #DisneyFrozenEvent

My 1st Hollywood movie premiere ever! Wow! I’m still on a high.

Attending the Disney Frozen Premiere at El Capitan Theater was a magical experience and one of the best nights of my life. In the theme of Frozen, Disney created an entertaining and icy evening making the Frozen premiere an evening to remember forever. And as far as the movie, you need to go RUN and see Frozen in the theaters when it releases next week on November 27th – it is fabulous. A beautiful storyline, action, and music that will melt your heart.

The World Premiere Of Walt Disney Animation Studios' "Frozen" - Red Carpet

The red carpet was actually a white carpet – complete with real SNOW piled high on Hollywood Blvd. in sunny California outside the historic El Capitan Theater. This literally was one of the “coolest” experiences of my life. I’ve never been to a Hollywood premiere before – so experiencing the glitz, glam, and paparazzi was thrilling and having my 1st premiere be with Disney couldn’t have been more fitting since I’m such a Disney fanatic.

Here’s a quick video I took live from the “SNOW” carpet at Disney’s Frozen premiere before we went into the theater to watch the movie.

Dressing for a Disney Movie Premiere

Deciding what to wear to a movie premiere is definitely a big decision — since as a suburban Mom I don’t EVER get the chance to go glam. I wanted to wear something on trend but also inspired by the film. I went with this cute strapless royal blue dress and a raspberry wrap so I could channel Anna, the star of Frozen who is voiced by Kristen Bell.

Here I am posing in my outfit on the Oscar steps before the Frozen premiere.

With my 8 year old’s idea, I was even able to turn my raspberry wrap into a cape – by pinning it in the center – so I could look even more like Anna.

I chose to wear a simple Austrian Crystal necklace and earring set that I inherited from my Grandmother – who passed away when my own Mom was only 8 years old. I wore this sentimental set on my wedding day and thought it would be very special to be able to wear this family heirloom again on such a special evening for me.

Walking the Snow Carpet for the Disney Frozen Premiere at El Capitan Theater

I walked the white carpet, dipped my heels in the snow, and was captivated by the movie. Before the film started, it actually SNOWED inside the El Capitan Theater. Simply amazing and totally magical – what else would you expect from Disney?

They were even carving ice sculptures LIVE outside the theater as we entered.

Here’s what the red – or make that “SNOW” carpet looked like before the crowds and Paparrazzi arrived.

The folks at Disney advised us to get a “Photo Buddy” so we could capture each other’s photos for the walk down the carpet as security guards really rush attendees to hustle into the theater. I teamed up with my friend Stefanie from Mommy Musings so we could grab fun shots of each other. We also spotted lots of celebs inside the movie theater and along the “snowy” red carpet.

My kids would have died as there were tons of Disney Channel TV stars from all their favorite Disney channel shows. The cast of Jesse was sitting in front of me during the movie too. Fun!

Disney Frozen Premiere After Party

As expected, the after party was also totally FROZEN inspired with shades of blue, snow, and ice. There were ice carvings everywhere and even some women using actual CHAINSAWS to carve Pine trees out of ice. Awesome!

We also could play in these super fun photo booths and pose with characters from the movie. Here I am hanging with my friend Stefanie from Mommy Musings.

The real ELSA and ANNA were hanging out with us too!

For the kids – and the kids in all of us, they had crafts like making your own snow globe or decorating snowflakes. Plus, games like tossing snowballs.

And of course, there were celebrities galore in attendance since we were in Hollywood along with all the acclaimed animators and executives from Disney.

Grabbed this cute shot of Kristen Bell, the voice of Anna, with her hubby Dax Shepherd.

I’ll be posting more interviews with the Disney Animators and voice talent for FROZEN in the coming weeks. So stay tuned on the blog and you can follow the hashtag #DisneyFrozenEvent on Twitter, Facebook and Google to keep up with posts from the 25 Mom blogger attendees on this adventure.

Remember, Disney’s FROZEN releases in theaters next week on Weds. November 27th. It’s definitely a MUST SEE family movie.

Note: Disney sponsored my travel, accommodations and activities during my stay in Los Angeles. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
