Celebrating 20 years of American Girl Magazine, they are launching a national contest to land a regular girl and her friend on the cover of the magazine. So cool. I think Kenzie would just about die if she and a friend appeared on the cover of American Girl Magazine. My 9 year old niece Lindsay would die too as she is hoping to someday be the “Doll of the Year” for American Girl…. not that the option exists but she is hoping!
We heart everything American Girl. For the very 1st time, we received a copy of the magazine and it was an instant hit with my 7 year old who is now a full reader and ready without a doubt for EVERYTHING American Girl. 
I am definitely going to subscribe to this magazine for Kenzie. I love the content and think it’s a great way to encourage reading too. Kenzie was extra interested in all the crafts and activities for her to complete in the magazine as well! Things for her to cut, make and just craft away – like this fun doorknob hanger.
Girls ages 8-13 can enter to win a chance to appear on the cover of the 2013 Bet of AG special issue of American Girl. Teh contest centers on friendship, and to enter two girls can submit the story of their unique friendship. One pair of friends will be selected to appear on the cover.
