Every new middle grade book that James Patterson releases is an instant hit with my daughter, who is now in 5th grade. She’s been loving his middle grade books since the 3rd grade and is thrilled with each new series he introduces along with the subsequnt books in each series he creates. Likewise, Word of Mouse did not disappoint and James Patterson has created another winner that encourages even the most reluctant readers to turn those pages for his compelling characters and adventures.

Wise Words to Live By from Isaiah the Mouse

Our favorite quote in the book is below but honestly I loved SO many of Isaish’s thoughts.

“You never fail until you quit trying.”

In our family, we believe you should dream big and work hard. This quote by Isaiah, “You Never Fail Until You Quit Trying” is our motto too and we love all the words to live by in this adorable new middle grade book by that just released yesterday and features all kinds of fantastic messages. I try to instill the philosphy of never giving up to both of my kiddos – now when it comes to schoolwork or their competitive sports and goals. Later in life, hopefully this will serve them well as things aren’t always easy! This quote especially spoke to Kenzie and I since my daughter Kenzie especially is continually needing to overcome obstacles to suceed in her competitive swimming. She’s an incredibly gifted athlete who even breaks records with her swimming, but she suffers from an immune disorder so often needs to deal with all kinds of adversity with illness, asthma, lots of medicine & time out of the pool. Still, she never gives up and always keeps working hard to achieve her goals.

A few more quotes that I can’t resist sharing….. You can tell parents are going to be urging their kids to read Word of Mouse – as lots of this sage wisdom may best be delivered by a literary character than a parent!
