Sweet and Smart Snacking Thanks to Balance Bar #CraveFreely

How do you satisfy cravings and still stay on track? I love finding snacks that taste sweet but also keep me on the healthy track. Enter….. BALANCE BARS! If you haven’t tried Balance Bars, these are a fantastic option. Balance Bars are our families answer to sweet cravings and at the same time they boost nutrition while tasting AMAZING.  Balance Bars just launched 4 new flavors that we were able to taste test — they passed with flying colors and the kids loved them too! So now I’ve got one more option to satisfy both my own and my athletic and active kids cravings and hunger. 

New Balance Bar Flavors

We sampled all the new Balance Bar flavors. I’m happy to report that EVERYTHING was delicious, but my personal favorite and that of my kids was the Chocolate Peppermint Patty. SOOOOOO good and seriously a the way to settle my sweet cravings!

I’m wild for anything in a peppermint and chocolate combo so I was all over this new flavor.

Forget about donuts, muffins or bagels for that extra calorie boost or to settle a craving. Instead, sign me up for a snack that is rich and balanced with some wholesome nutrition and a bang of chocolate!



Each package also had 2 little servings inside which also makes it really easy to maybe divide up your snack based on how hungry you are or how much you might need to “refuel” at snack time. I love this as it’s a great way for us Moms that might be counting calories but want only “half” a bar. No need to break your Balance Bar in half as it’s already a package that has 2 mini bars inside it!  Total win.

The four new flavors we tried included: Chocolate Caramel Peanut Nougat, Chocolate Peppermint Patty, Dark Chocolate Pecan Turtle and Dulce De Leche & Caramel.

Each of these new bar flavors are actually only 190 calories or less. Awesome right? Beyond caloric count, what I love is the quality nutrition and “balance” of protein and fiber. Each new bar also contains 5-7 grams of protein and 5-6 grams of fiber. Yay!




Why To Eat Balance Bars for Better Nutrition

We’re a family of athletes and we burn lots of calories. So we’re always looking for nutritious ways to replenish all that fuel we burn. We’re all runners and the the kids are super active on swim team too which means we need to find ways to incorporate extra calories in our diets that satisfy cravings, add calories, and give us real nutrition. Balance Bars are packed with protein and are also an excellent source of fiber, all for under 200 calories.   1. #CraveFreely everyday! I run weekdays and need to refuel afterwards need my protein for my muscles. Also im a mom so i need that extra protein in my diet im very active! I would share with my family as you know we can be very busy and need to refuel quickly these bars are great to carry in your pocket, purse, backpack or gym bag! Happy HEALTHY 2016 everyone.
