Back to School Fashion Finds on a Budget

Back to School is literally just around the corner. My kids start back on August 26th – just a bit over 2 weeks away. So we are in full BTS mode prepping on supplies and cleaning out drawers and closets to purge the clothing that no longer fits and figure out what we need to purchase new for my little kids that sprout up a few inches every season.

Walmart challenged me to see what I could do for $20 or less to spruce up their wardrobes. We were able to work wonders with only $12!

I love to buy a handful of trendy transitional tops at bargain prices that will work for Fall and pair well with either shorts or jeans.

I find we can wear our jeans more than one time without a wash, but always need to wash our shirts. So we stretch our dollar by buying more items for the top – tees, long sleeves, sweaters. When shopping, I always try to coordinate colors so they will match our existing bottoms that still fit. Jeans are so versatile they go with everything!

Adding more tops to our wardrobe is especially essential for 5 year old Kyle, I joke he goes through 3 shirts a day sometimes since his habit of using his shirt as a napkin is particularly messy!

Take a peek at these super cute tops we found from Walmart for under $6 each. Kyle is wearing a Wrangler Collared Tee and Kenzie is styling in a Faded Glory half sleeve camo thermal. Super cute!
