Disney Princess Merida Costume

Kenzie shines in her new Merida costume – the princess from Disney’s hit movie, Brave.

I love the elegant and substantial Princess costumes from the Disney Store because they are high quality and can be worn over and over again. To birthday parties, Halloween parties, trick or treating and if course on our visits to Disney World.

The accessories are always so much fun too – we have the Bow & Arrow set that completes Merida’s look. Definitely adorable & cool for the to wear and play with. Check out the archery set below – Kenzie LOVES it.

We wore this for today’s Monster Mash at our swim club – good thing we got decked out in costumes today as it just might be our only official Halloween Celebration since I’m not sure if Trick or Treating will happen thanks to Hurricane Sandy and schools have stopped allowing any Halloween celebrations that include costumes. Boo hoo! Maybe we’ll trick or treat, but if we don’t have Power returned come the 31st it seems unlikely that kids will trick or treat.

Luckily, Kenzie also got to wear this to a Princess Birthday Party for a little girl and she’ll be wearing this for our upcoming trip to Disney in December to see the Grand Opening of New Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. We can’t wait to go to Disney – my kids love dressing up in the parks and for character meals and other fun festive events at Disney. That’s why I love that these Disney Store dresses are so totally sturdy as they last for years even with serious wear during play time at home plus all our special events – cruises, Disney, parties, etc.

Disclosure: Thanks to the Disney Store for sending us this costume to review. I’ve bought many costumes of our own at the Disney Store over the years and they hold up amazing and the fabric is always beautiful. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

  1. Hi! I am looking to get my daughter her first Disney Store dress, in your opinion how do the sizes run? She’s almost 2, but small for her age. Reviews are mixed (found this dress on eBay, but I don’t trust sellers to be honest with sizing opinions)
