For a special Valentine’s Day treat, the kids and I made chocolate covered strawberries. Super simple and far less expensive than buying them at the grocery store!
Here’s how we did it it: Melted Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave and then dipped the berries in the chocolate. Place on a cookie sheet covered with tin foil. Cool in the fridge for a few hours. Then, eat & enjoy!
They would be better if you used baking chocolate. It’s made for melting so the texture would be smoother. If it’s tempered properly they’ll look nice and smooth just like store bought ones. They’ll also keep a little longer.
