We love the Imagination Movers! When the kids are not in the car – I’m honestly listening to the CD! If the stars align for these folks, and it looks like they are with a TV show that just hit on September 6th, I think this band is the next Wiggles type phenomenon. The song lyrics are totally cool and cute at the same time. Songs that kids can relate to like – "Clean My Room", "What’s in the Fridge", and I Want My Mommy". The Imagination Movers have what it takes to be true children’s band rock stars as both the Parents and Kids love them. For more information, click here. Price: $11

Typically, I review children’s music like Sesame Street Classics, the Wiggles or discuss just why you and your 2 year old might go crazy over the latest breakout children’s band – the Imagination Movers – like my family and I sure did. But recently, I received some music just for me. Linda Eder’s brand new breakout CD called The Other Side of Me. I’d classify it in the category of Country with a bit of Pop appeal. Think fiddles, guitars and lyrics that will leave you wanting more. I always can judge just how much I’ll love a CD if I’m interested on the 1st listen even when it is unfamiliar. And I loved Linda Eder on the first listen. She reminds me of a Faith Hill or of Mary Chapin Carpenter whom my college roommate and I were crazy about during our college years. This busy Mom will be performing on tour with 4 shows this coming year and it looks like her move out of Broadway is sure to be a hit. Check my blog later this week as we’ll be giving away an autographed copy of "The Other Side of Me." For more information, click
We recently received this Plain Tales First Tales story collection CD for review. My 3 year old loves it and listens again and again to "The Gingerbread Boy" as she is fascinated by that naughty little guy! Other featured stories include the Billy Goats Gruff and the Little Red Hen. And since Kenzie gets carsick – coloring and reading do not make our list of travel activities so we’ve been looking for a story CD for a long time – as you can only jam to the Wiggles so many times on a long road trip. As a parent, I feel really great about sharing these classic tales with the kids as well. Other CD story collections by Plain Tales include Fantasy, Literary, and Adventure Tales. We’re definitely interested in purchasing another CD for upcoming summer road trips to the beach. Classy Mommy Approved. For more information, click
We’re crazy for the Doodlebops! This spunky kids band is bright, colorful, and the songs are totally catchy. Last year, I must admit our entire family was somewhat obsessed after attending their fabulous live concert. We wish they were doing a US Tour again in 2009 as we’d love to go again. They’ve released this DVD & CD combo pack which is super as my kids love listening to the tunes while driving in the car along with obviously loving to dance & sing during the TV episodes. Hey Moms, if you’re looking for some new tunes, check out Lady GaGa. I think you’ll love her! With the start of the new year, I’m listening to and loving Lady GaGa’s Fame Monster album. After watching Lady GaGa make a guest appearance and performance on Gossip Girl singing "Bad Romance," last fall, I became totally hooked. (Obviously, she had been popular for quite a while, but in my Mommy World, it takes a while for me to pick up on new music!) The album actually comes with 2 cd’s and some 22 songs. The album includes her newer hit, Bad Romance, along with other popular tunes like Poker Face and Paparazzi. Even better, I recognize many more songs than those 3, which makes me love it even more. And if I haven’t convinced you to check her out, Barbara Walters even put Lady GaGa on her list of 2009′s most fascinating people. Happy Listening! In full disclosure: I put her album on my Christmas list, but in a lucky twist of fate about 2 weeks before Christmas, a PR rep randomly emailed me about sampling the Fame Monster CD so I actually got it for free. Who doesn’t love Taylor Swift? Her album "Speak Now" is incredible. I’ve always been a fan of her songs on the radio, but it wasn’t until I received her Speak Now album from Target to review that I finally appreciated her amazing talent. (And yes, bumping into in the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills last weekend did escalate my celebrity crush!) This album will appeal to little girls, tweens, teens, Moms, Aunts, and Grandmas. It is fabulous! My 5 year old daughter loves it (as does my husband and 3 yr old son!) The songs "Mine" and "Back to December" are my favorite on the album so far but I enjoy every single track. CD’s always make great stocking stuffers and this is one gift that Mom will love if she gives it to the kids and the kids will love it if they buy it for Mommy. For $16.99 at Target you can get a super special exclusive album that has 3 new songs, 3 remixed tracks, and 30 minutes of Video! Disclosure: A sample was sent for free to facilitate this review. Kiddie headphones! Time to get groovy and boogie down to the tunes. My kids are starting to get hot on some pop music and have also fallen in love with Taylor Swift. They love listening to music and storybooks on Kenzie’s CD player in her room and now they’ve been sharing these Sponge Bob headphones. (yes they split so each kiddo can listen with 1 ear!) Priced at only $6 these are a steal and totally cool for the preschool set. Take a peek at our video here: Disclosure: Thanks to Nick for providing us with this free sample. Love this Taylor Swift Christmas music – only available at Target! Our family obsession with Ms. Taylor Swift started last year when we received her Speak Now CD. The infatuation has never ended and the 3 and 5 year old just kept on loving Taylor and so did we too! Kenzie and I just bought her exclusive to Target Holiday Collection CD – it’s awesome and for $6.99 a steal for her fabulous 6 holiday Christmas tunes. We were thrilled to find it at Target after just hearing a Christmas tune by Taylor Swift on the radio before walking into Target . We thought let’s see if they sell any holiday music by her – sure enough it was exclusive to Target. We love "Last Christmas" and her countrified "Santa Baby" the best but all the tunes are just fine for us to rock out holiday style in the car. A great gift for Moms or little girls who love Christmas Carol type tunes & Taylor Swift. For more information, click

So far this audio CD is 5 for 5 at being the #1 soothing tool that ultimately lulls my wide eyed and ultra alert baby to sleep in the evenings. I admit I was skeptical about this CD, but figured I’d give it a go when I saw a rave review from James Cameron, Academy Award Winner for the movie Titanic. We call Kyle “The Bat” at our house since his most alert period seems to be right when I want him to settle down for a long night! With my daughter, the only time I didn’t have to struggle to get her to sleep was in the evenings. With my new son, it is the opposite. Neither rocking nor a feeding put him to sleep at bedtime. I now incorporate this WombEffect music into his bedtime routine to assist him with falling asleep. What is SoundSleep? Basically, it is a breakthrough audio CD that is the first to use actual digital recordings of the intrauterine environment and combine it with a low-frequency ambient soundtrack. This is definitely Classy Mommy Approved thanks to the help of the newest addition to our product review team – 10 week old Baby Kyle! For more information, click
