New Crayola Wild Notes & Dry Erase Product Review

Both my 4 year old and my 6 year old simply ADORE arts and crafts. Kenzie & Kyle love to color, paint, use stickers, and dapple with just about anything that lets them use their own creativity to decorate or design so the new products that Crayola sent us to review were an instant hit. I always love Crayola products too as they are washable and are low odor — I greatly prefer a Crayola product any day over the cheap no brand products that stain my furniture, the kids cloths and have strong odors.

As soon as I opened the UPS box with the Crayola products, my kids were immediately BEGGING me to let them dive into the package of goodies so they could take the new Crayola Dry Erase board and the Wild Notes for a test run. These products are available in store and online at Walmart now – and they’ve been a great way to get my kids excited and re-focused on writing, coloring, and even playing school during the warm summer months when we’re typically spending most of our time outdoors.

Here’s some photos of Kenzie and Kyle exploring the new lines.

The Dry Erase board is especially fun as it is 2 sided – with a white side and a black side. The black side looks especially cool when you write on it with the vibrant and bright Dry Erase Crayons that come with the kit.

And yes, the Dry Erase board is also perfect for playing school.

Kenzie loves to play teacher with either her little brother Kyle as student. When the math gets too hard for him and he gets bored – her dolls and stuffed animals fill in as students. Great for practicing math as you can tell!

The Wild Notes are available in multiple varieties – from actual sticky post-it style Wild Notes to Wild notes index cards to an actual 1 subject notebook with 75 pages in it.  They each come with the specific “Wild Notes” pen that writes in the ever changing rainbow color stream.

When you write on the Wild Notes paper with your special magic Wild Notes pen- your writing will appear in RAINBOW colors all from 1 individual pen.

Here’s an up close at how the pen looks on paper. It’s subtle but a definite rainbow which is thrilling for the kids.

This is pretty sweet and yes my kids were VERY impressed with this technology.  It’s motivating my 4 year old to practice writing his name and letters which is excellent all around as he needs the work so this is a big win in my book.

They have written endless notes over the past week with their new Wild Notes pens back and forth to each other, to friends, and to Mom 🙂

Both the Dual Sided Dry Erase Board and the Wild Notes were an EQUAL hit with my kids, but I think the Wild Notes will be especially favored by the older age group – particularly those wanting to create rainbow inspired NOTES during class in middle school or high school. As you can see the products in the Wild Notes are truly made to make note-taking more interesting and fun for kids.

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post from Walmart and we received sample of the above Crayola products to facilitate our review.  As always, all thoughts and opinions are our own.
