Photo Tour of Generations Resort by Karisma in Riviera Maya, Mexico

Excited to share this Photo tour of Generations Resort by Karisma in Riviera Maya, Mexico – just 20 minutes from Cancun. It is GORGEOUS here. Simply beyond beautiful and everything is just steps away from the water. More posts to come but I wanted to share how one of my favorite perks about staying at a Karisma resort is the access to other Karisma resort pools, gourmet dining, and facilities as Karisma owns a series of Resorts in the Riviera Maya that are all essentially connected.

Check out my photo tour that connects the three Karisma resorts: Karisma’s Generations, El Dorado Casitas, and El Dorado Royale.

I guess you could say that “mi casa is su casa” at these Mexican all-inclusive vacation spots. (Pardon my cheesy attempt at Spanish as I’m still in vacation mode). But the biggest rookie mistake that you can make on one of these trips is to never explore the beautiful options at your fingertips just a few tiki huts down.

When I visited the new Karisma’s Generations Resort last week, I felt like I was in a mini village. In fact, I didn’t truly comprehend all that this village had to offer until my morning jog on the main pathway. But I don’t want you to have to wait for your jog to see how great this place is, so I created a photo tour that connects the three resorts: Karisma’s Generations, El Dorado Casitas, and El Dorado Royale. It takes approximately 25 minutes to walk from one end to the other, so enjoy the expedited view!

Let’s start at the Generations pool that extends across the entire resort. Throw on your running shoes and enjoy this morning jog with me.

Pass by the kid’s pool with adorable mini chairs.

Walk past the pier where you can eat meals or enjoy an early morning yoga class.

Head under the tunneled pathway that leads to El Dorado Casitas. Stop here if you have kids in tow. Adults only at Casitas and Royale. I’m sure you won’t mind this rule and neither will your kids. Generations has some pretty amazing (and free for kids 4 and above) supervised activities that they will love! More details on kid activities coming soon in another post.

A quick peek of the Casitas beach and natural pool.

And the multiple pools with tiki hut bars.

Presidential suites at the Casitas are amazing. One day…

Hammocks by poolside. Bliss at every turn on the path.

Welcome to El Dorado Royale! Adults only. It was the first developed resort of the three, and you’ll find some of my favorite Mexican dining and the best night entertainment on this side of the path.

Beach view just keeps getting better.

Pools have a different vibe. Where to lay your sun-bathing head each day is the toughest decision to make all week!

Guests look forward to writing special messages in these sand pits. You’ll find several of these romantic messages across the resorts.

Yep, large chess games are a staple at Royale.

Best night entertainment can be found at Royal’s pavillion. The Michael Jackson impersonator was my favorite show of the week.

And one last pool shot to end a great run. You can walk this path or hop on one of the courtesy golf carts that drive by regularly. Hope you enjoyed the tour and will take advantage of all the great spots around these resorts. No matter which resort you choose to enjoy each day, you’re guaranteed a Karisma-pampered experience!

Karisma paid for my travel and accommodations. As alawys, all opinions are my own.

  1. Hi,

I saw your picture of the pier at Generations Riviera Maya. I am getting married there in April 2015 and wanted to know if I could use the Pier picture on my wedding website so my guests will have an idea of where the wedding would be held?

    Thank you,
    Miranda Josey
