On Sale today July 30th, Disney Channel’s latest hit, Teen Beach Movie, is a total sensation with kids everywhere and is now available for purchase on DVD. Music, sun, sand, and surfing – what’s not to love?
It was definitely a commercial TV success as the premiere of Teen Beach Movie on Disney Channel delivered 8.4 million Total Viewers. The premiere of High School Musical (January 2006) delivered 7.7 million.
#1 Disney Channel Original Movie in over four years in Total Viewers and in nearly six years in Kids 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14.
#3 Disney Channel Original Movie ever in Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11, behind only “High School Musical 2” and “Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie”
#5 Disney Channel Original Movie of all time in Total Viewers (Disney has made a total of 91 original movies).

My kids both loved the movie and have already watched it multiple times – both when it aired on TV and by watching the advance copy of the DVD we received.
The DVD also comes with this cute little surfboard zipper pull and lots of behind the scenes footage and extra clips including never before seen rehearsal footage. Plus your kids will enjoy going to their favorite scenes and songs easily on the DVD version – I know Kenzie and Kyle loved this feature!
