The Lorax, Beverly Hills, and a stroll down Rodeo Drive

Here’s a few quick details from our behind the scenes trip to LA with Universal Pictures to preview the upcoming movie, The Lorax, based on Dr. Seuss’s book by the same name which hits theaters March 2nd, 2012.  Just writing this post makes me long for warm weather and the adventures of California again, so I thought I’d show some of the sights I enjoyed before the Lorax press junket (interview details & movie review coming soon which I can’t wait to share!!!)

My first stop – the Four Seasons in LA. Amazing service, great location, and I even ordered room service straight from my iPad! Very high tech and luxe for sure.

Great 4-5 mile run past Rodeo Drive brought me to the most interesting house on the block. Not something I’d expect to see on the corner of such a nice neighborhood! It looks right out of a Halloween movie. Crazy huh?

The service at the Four Seasons was beyond amazing. I was so impressed by their pool-side service. The staff set up my chair, catered to my every need, and would fill my glass if the ice had melted. Definitely the best service I’ve experienced, well, ever!

Typical clientele on Rodeo Drive…just walking distance from my hotel.

Caryn from Rockin’ Mama and Carey from Kids’ Movie & TV give me my first tour of Rodeo Drive. No purchase necessary to feel cool while window shopping.

Next up was a private party at the Four Season for the SuperBowl. Love the female-dominated audience for the big game! And of course it was Lorax themed – with Truffula-Tini’s to sip during the game. Love it! Remember those Truffula trees – you get the idea!

I had spare time between us previewing the movie to our cast interviews and I explored Beverly Hills like a tourist from the east coast. Loved walking by The Ivy, which is an LA cafe that attracts celebrities and the paparazzi. I missed the celebs and photographers but loved the vibe & seeing that much talked about locale in real life

After a day of fun at the hotel, we all piled into the van to head over to Universal’s Back Lot for The Lorax press junket. Stay tuned for my behind the scenes of a press junket and inside scoop on interviews from Zac Efron, Betty White, and Danny DeVito!  Sneak peek – here’s me with the Lorax!  Interviews coming soon!

Disclosure: Thanks to Universal Pictures for paying for my travel expenses to attend the press junket for The Lorax – which hits theaters in 3D on March 2nd, 2012. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
