Top 10 Reasons Kids Love the Four Seasons New York City #FSFamily

When traveling with my children, I love the luxury and personalized service that Four Seasons offers – and so do my kids. Our hotel feels like a home away from home when we’re staying at the Four Seasons.  That “at home” feeling is huge for kids and makes family travel SO easy when a resort or hotel hits it right.

On our visit to New York City so I could write an Insiders Guide to Family Travel in NYC, my kids fell in love with FS New York. Of course I fell in love with this FS location too. Our stay was simply amazing and it was the perfect hotel for families. Kenzie and Kyle say it best…. here is their list of the Top 10 Reasons Kids love the Four Seasons New York City.

Top 10 Reasons Kids Love Four Seasons New York

(according to Kenzie and Kyle)

1. Toys & Family Photo on arrival

Four Seasons knows how to win over it’s littlest guests right away. Immediately upon our arrival, both my kids were able to select a small cute stuffed toy from the gift shop and then the staff took a photo of our entire family. This VIP treatment for the kids made our family feel so special from the start.

2. Location Location Location
Who wants to listen to their kids whine about being tired? Not me! And really, the kids don’t want to be tired either but they do want to walk everywhere. FS New York is beyond conveniently located at 57th Street. It’s super close to Central Park and steps away from FAO Schwartz on 5th Avenue. With a location like this we could walk to all our tourist and shopping destinations from Broadway to American Girl to Times Square and 5th avenue window shopping. Here’s a few of our fun stops!

3. Milk and Cookies

When you arrive in your room or before bedtime, the kids are greeted with adorable “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” platters complete with jugs of cookies and milk. We love this story and my kids were so excited by this treat!

4. The Candy Man
Yes, an actually candy cart complete with a Candy Man can be arranged to visit your room to surprise your kids. It’s free and included with the price of your visit. Awesome! The Candy Man brings a candy cart from Dylan’s Candy Bar and basically your kids – and you – can select all the treats you’d like. Talk about a sugar rush!

5. Surprises galore in the room

Celebrating a Birthday? Four Seasons will exceed every expectation you can imagine to make your child feel special. Kenzie’s 7th birthday fell on our visit to FS New York. Look at all the goodies they arranged for her… Balloons, a personalized cake, and more!

6. Room with a View

Overlooking Central Park and the tall buildings in Manhattan is breathtaking. This view says it all. We literally felt like we were on top of the world.

7. Staff who know the children’s names
The kids thought it was exciting when the staff would spark conversation with them and call them by name. Totally personal and thrilling for the kids. Mom & Dad loved this too!

At the end of any trip, my kids are always sad to leave. Since our Four Seasons stay was so luxurious and special, Kenzie was especially emotional about going home. While I was busy packing, Kenzie created this thank you note for our room staff all by herself which was a total surprise to us. I found it on our way out the door. How cute is this?

Kids and Mom were also impressed that the social media team was paying attention to our tweets. The Four Seasons NY  noticed my  mentions about Kenzie’s Birthday online and sent her a special birthday tweet. Kenzie thought that was very cool!

8. Brunch at The Garden

Dining in the Garden is not to be missed – the food is spectacular and so is the ambiance. The Garden, located near the lobby, is enchanting and guests eat under the trees. The service is incredible and the food is outstanding.Since it was Kenzie’s birthday, our wait staff was sure to wish her many Happy Birthday greetings and give her special attention. She devoured Belgian waffles and Mike swears the Gotham Burger he ate was the best burger ever – I said the same thing about my Chicken dish.

9. Bubble Baths

Who can resist a bubble bath? Not even my little boy. This tub that came complete with all the fixings!

10. Kids only room

Need I say more? The kids had their own room. Coolest thing ever for them and Mom and Dad. Comfy Beds in super spacious connecting suites are a dream for the entire family.

You can check out the video of our room here. Isn’t it incredible?
