Family Fun at Morey’s Piers in Wildwood #MoreysPiers

Have you ever been to Morey’s Piers at the Wildwood Boardwalk? For all my Philadelphia, New York City, and Mid Atlantic friends, we were beyond impressed with our weekend stay with Morey’s Piers in Wildwood. FANTASTIC family vacation destination for a summer fun weekend at the shore! Take a peek at some of the highlights from our weekend in the Wildwoods exploring Morey’s Piers on the boardwalk. From the sandy beach to the exciting amusements, we had a fabulous time soaking up the sun, hitting the boardwalk and riding the wild rides. Thanks to Morey’s Piers for hosting us for a fun family weekend getaway to the Jersey shore.

Morey’s Piers in Wildwood

There is so much fun to be had at Morey’s Piers in Wildwood – think mini golf, thrilling amusement rides, kiddie amusements, a giant Ferris Wheel, and a fabulous waterpark!!!! And let’s not forget the giant playground that is the Beach!

We spent 2 nights and 2 days there but honestly felt like we packed in all kinds of fun – however there is so much to do we are now planning to return in August as we liked it so much!!! Depending on your budget you could go for just a quick get away or a full week – and adjust your “Morey’s Piers” tickets according to how often the kids or adults want to do the amusements or enjoy the waterpark options.

Morey’s Piers Hotel Options

There are lots of places to stay in Wildwood and I absolutely love the retro vibe of this beach town. Morey’s Piers actually owns 4 fantastic hotel options all within a short distance or literally steps from the boardwalk. When you book at one of their 4 hotels, you’ll be able to save on your amusement and water park tickets too as you can get a multi-day pass. Nice!

We stayed at the Port Royal Hotel, which was actually located officially in Wildwood Crest – but still only 1 mile from the start of the boardwalk. So convenient!!! We drove to the central boardwalk area each day to hit the amusements and water parks as we were already getting tons of walking on the boards at night and exercise running on the boardwalk each morning. We loved this hotel! Gorgeous views of the beach, a fantastic heated pool, and a game room for families!  The food at their in house restaurant is delish and affordable too!

The Boardwalk Fun

Morey’s Piers offers endless entertainment for all ages. Waterparks with water slides and lazy rivers to cool off on during the daytime hours and 3 piers of entertaining amusements to explore in the afternoon until late at night. From kiddie rides to thrilling roller coaster along with everything in between. Us adults also even braved the haunted “Ghost Ship” attraction – it was terrifying with real actors, tight hallways and passages through the ship, crazy sounds, and of course all kinds of darkness! We were scared but loved it. The kids couldn’t get enough of all the roller coasters or the swings and my personal “Mom” favorite is the Giant Wheel.

The Ferris Wheel on Morey’s Piers has over 30,000 LED lights and is absolutely gorgeous. My favorite time to ride is at dusk so you can enjoy a stunning colorful sunset but also see the ocean and all the lights of the boardwalk and amusements below.

The Zoom Phloom log flume ride is a classic at Morey’s Piers and we all loved this wet adventure too! You experience 2 big drops and even travel under the boardwalk too!

Lots of other fun rides to explore – from roller coasters to teacups and all the classics in between!

Food Galore

Boardwalk food in Wildwood is fantastic. Growing up at the Jersey Shore I love returning to savor all my favorite haunts! My faves are soft serve ice cream and yummy crab fries. I’m happy to report that my kids have discovered the joy in these shore treats too! From fine dining to inexpensive boardwalk eats like $1 hot dogs!

And of course – the seafood is always incredible. We had a stellar Father’s Day dinner at Joe’s Fish Co on Morey’s Piers with jumbo shrimp and heavenly crabcakes. And you can’t beat the view!

Relaxing at the Beach

The Beaches in the Wildwoods are GIGANTIC which is gorgeous and makes your entire stay at the beach feel far more private. No need to worry about crowds as there is all kinds of wide open beach for everyone to enjoy.
