Homemade Guacamole Recipe

I’m crazy about avocados and can’t get enough of guacamole. Here’s a new twist on my favorite homemade guacamole recipe that was passed on down to me from my Mom.

Homemade Guacamole Ingredients

Here’s the basic ingredients you’ll need to chop up quick guacamole dip that the whole family will enjoy:

1-2 Avocados

1-2 Roma Tomatoes

1/4 tsp garlic powder or minced garlic

1/4 tsp cilantro

1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice

Salt to Taste

Directions: Chop up avocado with a fork so it’s chunky, add in diced tomatoes, season to taste with your herbs, spices, and lemon juice.

Walmart tasked me to check out this collection of Gourmet Garden herbs and make a recipe using them, I decided to use garlic and cilantro from Gourmet Garden’s line in lieu of the traditional garlic or cilantro I might usually add in my favorite homemade guacamole recipe.

Here are some of the other herbs and spices available from Gourmet Garden.

Gourmet Garden sells a line of squeezable fresh herbs and spices at Walmart that are organically-grown and gluten-free. These keep in the fridge for up to 3 months and sell for $3.78 each. They are super easy to use and the proportions you use are direct 1-1 as if you were using your regular chopped herbs or spices at home.

These Gourmet Garden tubes were so easy to use and it was great not to need to be bothered chopping up cilantro. What a super convenient method to add all kinds of fresh seasonings to your food. I think these are great options if you are going for fresh herbs since the shelf life on them in my fridge is certainly quick compared to the 3 months that these will remain fresh.

I especially like the line of Italian seasonings as these make for an easy way to add in flavorings to homemade tomato sauces, pastas, lasagnas, and homemade pizzas.
