Mott’s Reveals new Snack & Go products for Back to School

Yum! We taste tested these super convenient and innovative Snack & Go Mott’s strawberry and applesauce goodies at Style School last weekend. You can see the kids literally DEVOURING these packages in the video below as they suck the applesauce dry. Besides being healthy, talk about convenient and mess free!

Love these new Snack & Go products – awesome for lunch boxes & for after school snacks when we’re on the go in the car from school to swimming & gymnastics class.

Did you know that the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2010 recommend making half your plate fruits and vegetables? Giving your kids conveniently packaged Mott’s juices and sauces is a great way to boost their fruit and vegetable intake at lunch, snack-time, dinner or anytime!

Mott’s wants to make sure Moms everywhere are paying attention to the fashionable trend of snacking healthy….. and at our Style School event we sure got stylish while snacking healthy on Mott’s!

Here’s Kenzie and I working the Mott’s runway!

Little Girls Love Curls

Thanks to Remington, not just Moms, but also little girls who attended Style School got to experience the luxury of having a stylist do their hair.

Using tools from their new affordable Style Solutions Remington line, priced between $20-29, everyone got glam with those natural looking waves we’re all pining after that the celebrities sport daily!

My 5 year old Kenzie, 5 going on 13, had a field day getting her hair done. As did so many other little girls.

Here is Kenzie’s before pictures:

Here is her after photos:

They used the All in One Iron on her hair – this is my favorite tool that I tried out on Saturday as it is so versatile – it can be used to both curl or flat iron your hair, plus you can adjust the width of the iron for bigger or smaller curls. Fabulous!

A few more girls getting beautiful.

My favorite quote came from Madison here. When I told her she was going to love how her looked and just die when she saw it, Madison said, “I’m already dying inside!”

Photo Fun with Children’s Advil at Style School

Who knew a photo booth could be such sheer and glorious fun? Kids, Moms, Dads, Families, and Girlfriends all went nuts in this stellar photo booth that Children’s Advil brought to our Style School event in NYC.

Before the party started, Mike, the kids, and I took it for a test run. Take a peek!

We dressed up in some props, took some pics and then saw how we could share these cool photo strips on Facebook and Twitter to be sure everything was in working order for our Style School event.

What a fabulous and creative way to engage Moms & Kids while the PR team from Advil was able to provide product coupons and samples to our guests as they reminded them that Children’s Advil provides 8 hours of relief.

The Mom side of me thought it was pure fun and the business side of “ClassyMommy” was impressed and saw this neat photo booth idea as a definite marketing win for everyone involved.

Style School in New York City

Wow! Our 1st annual Style School turned out to be a fabulous & very busy day full of fashion, food, new trends in back to school from backpacks to snacks, wine tasting, rock star hairstyles, and more.

My good friend Whitney from Mommies with Style teamed up with me to bring Mom bloggers and their children together to engage with brands to socialize and get to know each other better. We’ve been working on this event for months and are thrilled that everyone had a wonderful time.

Yes the kids brought a little chaos but overall added a ton of fun to Style School. Back to school is all about the kids and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to include children in our event.

Take a peek at my quick photo recap to get a feel for the event. And I’d love to give a big thank you to all our generous sponsors.

Kenzie and I loved sampling Mott’s new snack & go applesauce and working the Mott’s runway.

Kids decorated lunch bags in the Mott’s play zone too while Moms could chat with a nutritionist. Awesome!

Land’s End showered all of our guests with these incredible back packs for back to school. Camo patterned bags for the boys and butterfly florals for the little girls.

Fooling around by the Children’s Advil  table & Photo booth was a blast. We crammed our entirentire family into the booth and had a field day fooling around in there. What a wonderful way to engage Moms & kids!

Punk rock hairdo’s were all over Style School thanks to 77kids – creating “faux-hawks” along with color striping and spraying everyone’s hair. Awesome!

Kids loved the candy & prize bar 77kids set up – along with posing in front of their rock star booth!

Wine tasting with Cameron Hughes was a real treat for the Moms. We were so excited to learn about their ultra premium wines that are literally sold far below cost. Delicious! Moms sampled 3 wines from Cameron Hughes and we’ve got a 10% coupon code off any order at their website here: http://www.chwine.com with code WINERIOT.

Getting hair done by Remington was a divine treat for both the kidlets and the Mamas. Remington showcased their Remington’s Style Solutions collection – awesome tools priced from $20 -$29.99. The Wrap to Waves tool went home with all of our guests too! I love the natural wavy look on Moms. Gorgeous but it looks so natural!  Here it is on Kenzie!

Striking a pose for the cameras…..

More punk looks while hanging out at the Play Doh table. Kenzie loved reconnecting with her buddy William, my girlfriend & co-author Audrey’s son.

Moms embraced the gigantic clothing swap at the Zulily booth too as they also browsed the stellar brand name picks that Zulily serves up daily for as much as 90% off!

Audrey and I chatting with Tonia, The Chatty Momma who came up from DC for our Style School event.

20110821-091739.jpg

My family and I posing by the classic step & repeat for Style School. I couldn’t have thrown this event without all of their help – from driving into NY city together to the kids styling in 77kids clothes and helping out with all the brands.

20110821-091802.jpg

Here we are loading out on the frieght elevator. Even the hard work is fun when the kids are included!

20110821-091822.jpg

And we included all these goodies from our generous sponsors in the gift bags for everyone too. What fun! My kids are now having a field day doing little set ups with their “swag” at home as they have now decided to align all kinds of toys amidst their samples.  Kyle loves spraying the dry shampoo and hairspray on his hands too which is just too funny.
