Eureka SuctionSeal Vacuum Review and #Giveaway

Here’s the scoop on the new Eureka SuctionSeal Vacuum and a chance to Win it!

We took the Eureka SuctionSeal Vacuum for a test run and we’re giving away a Eureka SuctionSeal Vacuum to 1 lucky ClassyMommy.com reader.

What we loved about it:  This vacuum is 1/2 the price of a Dyson at $149. Fabulous! And yes the suction proved itself – we’re talking CRAZY awesome suction for cleaning power.  I’d say that YES it lived up to the hype in the marketing materials saying that the new Air Speed Technology  of the Eureka Suction Seal had BETTER suction power than the Dyson DC41 at half the price.

Honestly this bagless vacuum became instantly filled with incredible amounts of dirt since it was sucking better than any vacuum we’ve ever used at our house. We’re talking insane amounts of dirt here – after just 2 uses we needed to empty it! If you have a pet and lots of extra dirt, I think this might be the vacuum for you. I’ve never seen suction like this!

Why the great suction? Eureka’s popular and exclusive AirSpeed Technology.  Here’s an explanation of it from their materials:  ”AirSpeed Technology uses two wide, smooth tubes with limited bends and turns, allowing more air to pass through the vacuum for powerful suction – unlike most vacuums that propel air through a long nozzle and hose system full of twists and texturing.”

The cons: This vacuum is extremely heavy and far more difficult to lift for me than our Dyson or other lightweight vacuums we’ve owned. Also, the cord was far shorter than that on our Dyson which required us to do lots of unplugging and re-plugging which we found annoying. We have a big home with a very large finished basement and regular downstairs living area in our Kitchen/Family room so the cord length didn’t work for us the way we’d like it to or we’ve become accustomed to with our current Dyson and the weight of the Vacuum was a big obstacle for me as far as my ability to use the vacuum in various parts or floors of our home.

Mike Rowe’s Dirty Jobs Heavy Duty Cleaning Products

I heart Mike Rowe from the TV show, Dirty Jobs, on the Discovery Channel. How real is he? And yeah it sure doesn’t hurt that he is a pretty good looking guy. Plus I find all those “dirty jobs” fascinating.

Well now, he launched a line of cleaning products inspired by his show, Dirty Jobs. The idea behind these Heavy Duty cleaning products is to truly cut the grease, grime, set in stains and dirt so we don’t have to work quite so hard to clean up after all the mess and messy people in our own lives.

Take a peek at our video demo introducing the new line that just recently launched this spring. The Dirty Jobs line of cleaning products is now available in store at Walmart stores across the country too.

This is my favorite “indoor” product – the multi-surface cleaner. This also has a very light citrus scent – nothing too overpowering but enough for a fresh cleanser scent that works well in the kitchen. It worked excellent on removing all those crusty piles of crumbs from sticky fingerprints made of syrup and jam thanks to my sweet kids that continually decorate my countertops.

My favorite overall product that we tested is this Heavy Duty Degreaser – which is for serious jobs – like cleaning your deck furniture or yucky tools vs. an everyday surface cleaner like the one shown above. As you can tell from my video, this cleaner removed some SERIOUS DIRT off my deck table.

I admit just the branding of these products and the connection to Mike Rowe’s “Dirty Jobs” makes believe the products will work. The line is pretty comprehensive with laundry stain removers (in both powder form and a trigger spray) along with all kinds of hard core Degreasers, bathroom cleaner, and of course multi-surface cleaners that I love to use in my kitchen.

Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner with Color Power Technology Review and #Giveaway

At only $3.99 this new bathroom cleaner from Scrubbing Bubbles with Color Power Technology is high tech and practically does my bathroom cleaning for me.

Seriously we got this sample in the mail a few days ago and the new “color power” technology definitely impressed me. Basically, you spray your dirty bathroom sink and countertops – think yucky toothpaste marks, rings on the counter from mouthwash bottles or other miscellaneous spills – and the color turns from blue to white to signal the cleaning formula is working.

Once the foam is white you know you are good to go to wipe down the surface and basically I found the foam did the scrubbing for me – during this transition time from blue to white.

I just had to simply wipe away all the foam and my dirty sink and counters were clean. Practically magic and it has a nice sent too. I loved the smell and how easily everything sprayed out and foamed up by sink too.

So a big hooray for Scrubbing Bubbles! Thank you for  doing the bulk of the dirty work for us busy Moms. Anything to make cleaning easier is something I’m all over!  Even my kids were very impressed watching how it easy it was for me to clean down their immense toothpaste stains in the kid bathroom.

Hanging with the Glade® Expressions™ Happiair Tour Truck

After tweeting it up all about Glade® and their new fragrance collection earlier this week, I was able to actually visit the Glade® Expressions™ Happiair truck at my local mall on Saturday. I even brought the kids with me, as I knew both Kenzie and Kyle would be all over testing out all the new scents – these kids LOVE anything that smells – from lip gloss to food to wildflowers in the woods to Glade® air fresheners.

I joined up with them at the King of Prussia Mall outside Philadelphia on Saturday, April 14th at one of their stops and had a fabulous time.

Tide PODS Review

Tide PODS are the latest laundry innovation and I’m all over this convenient and revolutionary way to dispense my detergent and stain remover.Even more impressive, Tide PODS are 2x as concentrated as current liquid Tide and are compatible for all HE machines too. Awesome!

Take a peek at our video below for a close up look at TIDE PODS – and yes my kids are fascinated by this new revolutionary product too.

You can see how there are 3 different chambers in this POD to keep your detergent, stain remover, and brightener all separate until they dissolve in your laundry when you are running your load of wash. Fabulous right? They are sold in bags like this shown in our video or clear “fishbowl” type containers as photographed here that you might have noticed in stores over the last few weeks.

Impressive right? And I love not needing to pour detergent or carry those heavy bottles at the store either…….This is an innovation we will all adjust to very quickly. I’ve done several loads of laundry with these new Tide PODS and I can’t get over how much I am LOVING not pouring my liquid detergent. And of course, these PODS are giving me the same fresh scent of Tide that we obsess over in our household.

Getting technical about Tide PODS:

My Mini Moment of Fame with Tide

Remember me telling you about that day in May when I left the sweatpants at home and lost my ponytail for a surreal day on the job?? All to glam it up at P&G to film a few TV segments and a Webisode about Tide Washing Machine Cleaner for HE washing machines.

And now my TV segment is finally airing!

You can take a peek at my mini moment of fame talking about Tide Washing Machine Cleaner below – basically I’m sharing tips on how to get rid of that unpleasant and funky smell which so many Moms complain about after making the switch to an HE machine. Uggh – it is gross if you’ve experienced this which we unfortunately do from time to time too.

This will air across the country on the Daily Buzz and other networks this week.

In a nutshell, these 3 tips are really important to maintain your HE Washing Machines and prevent unpleasant odors with your HE machines.

1. Keep the door slightly ajar when the machine is not in use

2. Use an HE detergent

3. Clean your washing machine monthly with an HE Washing Machine cleaner – like Tide Washing Machine cleaner.

This weekend I finally started tackling my spring planting. Amazing how flowers can brighten up your outdoor living areas. The kids love helping out around the yard so were thrilled to come with me to Walmart to buy some new pots,hanging baskets, potting soil and flowers to plant – like petunias, and marigolds – which we need badly as they keep the bunnies and squirrels from eating my petunias.


The kids had a blast picking it all out with me – and they love when I let them pretend to ride the tractors in the store.

And they helped with the planting. These before and after photos show just how badly we needed to add some flower power.

We also bought 2 of these phenomenal coil hoses – if you’ve never had one of these, I highly advise you buy one. They are great for watering and I love how they bounce themselves back into place without requiring me to wind the hose back into place.
